The Institute is co-organizing the International Symposium on the Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems (MASCOTS 2023) conference, which will take place on October 16-18, 2023 in Wang Center, Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, USA. The National Science Centre has announced the results of the OPUS 24 and SONATA 18 competitions. We are pleased to announce that one of the projects qualified for funding is the project in the OPUS competition "Optimal and probabilistic learning of quantum operations quantum operations", led by Zbigniew Puchała, PhD, from our Institute.

Analiza szeregów czasowych jest ważną dziedziną inżynierii danych. W ramach seminarium przedstawiamy metodę statystyczną przeznaczoną do analizy szeregów czasowych, przy założeniu, że szeregi te naśladują jakąś postać złożonego układu fizycznego. W metodzie wykorzystuje się wykres rekurencyjny i wykładnik Hursta. Dotychczas metoda ta była wykorzystywana do danych związanych z dynamiką molekularną i obserwacjami klimatu (temperatury). Dlatego nasza metoda porusza bardzo ważny problem zmian klimatycznych.
