Instytut został członkiem Polskiego Klastra IoT & AI SINOTAIC.
Klaster ma na celu przede wszystkim wykorzystanie potencjału podmiotów działających w Polsce w obszarze Internetu Rzeczy, poprzez m.in. integrację podmiotów działających w Polsce w obszarze Internetu Rzeczy i Sztucznej Inteligencji oraz tworzenie rozwiązań w zakresie IoT i AI we współpracy z instytutami badawczymi, uczelniami oraz odbiorcami docelowymi.
Two of our colleagues, Prof. Erol Gelenbe and Prof. Jerzy Klamka, were included in the World's TOP 2% Scientists 2022 list, which takes into account the researchers whose publications are most frequently cited by other authors worldwide. The ranking was prepared by Stanford University in collaboration with the publisher Elsevier.
Prof Erol Gelenbe received a medal and diploma from the Polish Neural Networks Society. The award was given for the invention of G-networks and Random Neural Networks. The ceremony took place during ICAISC 2024 (The 23rd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing, Zakopane 16-20 June).
IICh PAN, together with its partner IITiS PAN, is implementing project No. FESL.10.06-IZ.01-02H8/23, which aims to build a photovoltaic installation with energy storage for the needs of both Institutes.
The Institute started to execute a new project: "Infrastructure Recovery through Resilience Stress Testing in Ukraine". The project is co-financed within the IMPRESS-U programme. It is executed in cooperation with dra Rafaela Munoz-Carpeny team at Uniwersytetu of Florida, USA, dra Volodymyr Artemchuk team at G.E. Pukkov Institute for Modeling in Energy Engineering NAS in Ukraine, Prof.
IITIS PAN has joined the project entitled "Reliable Electronics for Tomorrow’s Active Systems" (ReACTIVE Too). The project is being implemented within the framework of the international HORIZON 2020 program under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). Its goal is to conduct research on reliability design of electronic systems, involving the introduction of an agile hardware development cycle with virtual techniques to support the validation of active safety systems.

We are pleased to announce that one of the scientific activities selected for funding in the eighth edition of the MINIATURA competition is a research visit, titled. " Harnessing quantum criticality for the energy-efficient quantum computation", carried out by Zakaria Mzaouali, PhD, from our Institute.
S20 is the committee that advises the forthcoming G20 summit on scientific matters. The EU is in the G20, and Academia Europaea serves as the scientific representative of the EU at the G20 and other such meetings. Prof. Gelenbe is one of the five Academia Europaea members in the S20 and is representing the EU at the G20 for matters related to AI which is one of five priority areas on this year's G20.
