Reversibility and Hierarchy in Higher Order Quantum Walks

Speaker
Michael McGettrick, NUI Galway
Date
Abstract

We will present in this talk some new ideas and features pertaining to Higher Order Quantum Walks (also known as Quantum Walks with memory). It is known that quantum walks play a very important role in the design of algorithms for our "soon to arrive at a store near you" quantum computers. Because of this, there is an active research community constructing various different types of quantum walks with different properties.

Analiza wybranych sieci neuronowych - GCN, VGG i BNN

Speaker
Kamil Książek
Date
Abstract

W czasie seminarium omówione zostaną wybrane rodzaje sztucznych sieci neuronowych: grafowe sieci konwolucyjne (Graph Convolutional Networks), sieć konwolucyjna VGG-16 oraz binarne sieci neuronowe (Binary Neural Networks). Sieci grafowe mogą być wykorzystane w uczeniu półnadzorowanym m.in. w zadaniu klasyfikacji wierzchołków w grafie. Architektura VGG-16 zostala zdefiniowana przez Visual Geometry Group. Jest to typowa sieć konwolucyjna stosowana do klasyfikacji obrazów.

Seminar

Extremal Markov chains driven by the Kendall convolution and their applications.

Speaker
Barbara Jasiulis-Gołdyn, Uniwersytet Wrocławski
Date
Abstract
Research goals of this talk are focused on the renewal theory, some aspects of the fluctuation theory and asymptotic properties for the first order maximal autoregressive processes of the Kendall type, which are discrete time Lévy processes under the Kendall convolution.
Seminar

Quantum software shifting from theory to practice and education

Speaker
Abuzer Yakaryilmaz, University of Latvia
Date
Abstract

In this talk, we shortly introduce the emerging field quantum software (quantum programming and quantum machine learning), and then we discuss how we can be involved and then shape the field. We explain why education is our primary focus and how we can use pedagogical tools to attract new generation and people to the field. We share our own experiences, our ongoing projects, and also our upcoming projects. At the end, we discuss possible collaborations.
