Witold Lipski Award for Dr. Mateusz Ostaszewski

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Mateusz Ostaszewski, who defended his doctoral thesis at IITiS PAN in 2020, has been awarded the Witold Lipski Prize for the best young computer scientists. The award is given to young Polish computer scientists by the Kosciuszko Foundation. Dr. Ostaszewski was honored with the award in the area of applied computer science.

Dr. Mateusz Ostaszewski is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow at the Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. His research focuses on the design and optimization of quantum circuits aimed at solving problems in quantum chemistry. The results of the work could be used, for example, in drug manufacturing.
