AB - The article proposes a description of Internet traffic based on Hidden Markov Model. The model refers to packet level traffic and is validated with the use of real traffic collected in our laboratory. A part of the gathered traces is used as a training sequence to learn HMM model parameters an the rest serves as testing sequences.
